How does a tree get that shape?

Many people have asked once you plant a tree in the field does it grow naturally like that. Every year we plant what is known as a 2-0 seedling , which is a pine seedling that is two years old from a seed. After the first couple of years in the fields each tree starts to produce new growth at a rate of 15-20 inches a year. To help manage the size and density Annual sheering of the trees help manage yearly growth for proper size and density. This process has to be completed between the months of June and July when the new growth is still young and has not harden off.
